If you have a choice-don't choose this company. Their driver Manuel refused to drive our half mile gravel driveway stating it had rained 3 days earlier and he WOULD get the truck stuck IF we forced him to drive in with our furniture. We told him we had spoken with our 3 neighbors who also use this driveway and they all had assured us semi's drive this driveway ALL the time. Manuel absolutely refused and stated we could either pay him $4000 in cash right then to hire a UHaul to shuttle our furniture in OR wait until he got his truck stuck and then we would have to pay the $1500 tow AND the $4000. When we initially refused he threatened to put our furniture in storage and we would have to pay extra to store and then have it redelivered. He would not allow the crew too unload anything until he drove me to a bank to get him the cash so the move was delayed 3 hours. THEN, the crew never completed the move. It is now 6 months later and we still have unassembled items. The crew he hired may be responsible for the 3 pages of damaged items and 1.2 page of missing/stolen items that occurred with this move. Manuel also opened food items we had packed and helped himself. His comment to me was he needed the sugar boost. Manuel had promised crew members would be back the day after the move to complete the move-that never happened. And every time I contacted Manuel he responded it wasn't his problem. Contacts with Cross Country for an itemized list of expenses and receipts has gone unanswered by Cross Country.
