If he can cut corners - Mehan will. Do not do business with this guy. To avoid paying to take his trash to the landfill, he will dump his construction trash in other peoples black barrels. He will also lie to your face and then deny it after. He did wiring in my home and it was not to code - not a single GFCI in the whole house. And used .12 gauge wire to run between different breaker boxes where he should have used .2 gauge. And when I had a professional electrician installed .2 gauge my electrical bill decreased by 30% (and probably prevented a fire). He did not use gromets in conduit and found that insulation on the wires were cut and some would touch metal and sparks would fly. My roof that he installed had so many code violations that I had to hire a different company to fix his work. He connected my neighbors drip lines to my valve box and the claimed he knew nothing about it. One of his workers cut a hole in my drywall to make a repair and did not bother to tell anyone that there was a TON of mold in it, and proceeded to cover it up. And then Mr. Mehan tried to backpeddal by telling me it was no big deal because the grand-kids probably spilled water out of the tub - it was really a leak in the pipes that had been going on for years and the mold was throughout all 4 walls of one room. To avoid scalding of his kids, he tied the hot and cold water lines in the kitchen so that the temp never got above 117 degrees just to save a buck instead of putting in a proper valve. Dishes could never be properly cleaned in the dishwasher this way. Known around town for how wonderful a person he is because he attends a predominant church, but he is unethical and a fraud. Takes advantage of his relationships by using people just to save a quarter.
