I can see what these other reviews were addressing. My property was delivered Saturday June 3rd. As others stated, things weren’t off-loaded until they received the remainder of their payment. We asked if there was anything left on the truck (as my things were packed first, they would be the only thing left on the truck) & were told “no”. We weren’t allowed to check the truck ourselves. I had another customer contact me letting me know they dropped my stuff off with him, a week after they left me. They were VERY quick to cover up that mistake, running to his address to get my property because they suddenly had someone in his area - and since then they’ve gone dark. The other customer lives not five hours from me, and yet my things have still managed to be missing. They wore my faith in them down to nothing. Opt for Two Men and a Truck, or any other company first. The integrity is higher and they have follow through.

PLEASE READ!!!!! Absolute Crooks! The lady Danielle who answers the phone is manipulative and a liar! General Movers charged us 13k to go from jersey shore to Myrtle beach and they did $7500 in damages! They smashed a hole in a not even year old sleep number bed and the control bracket underneath was completely missing! Then I collect bobbleheads and bubble wrapped everyone over 2000 yards of bubble wrap and plastic tubs and they threw the stuff around causing $2500 in damages. The day they dropped the stuff off I called Danielle and she said don’t worry just take pictures and insurance will cover it. What a liar they cover 60 cents a pound so in other words about $300 for $7500 in damages! Then cause I guess I’m a sucker we tipped the loaders $500 upon pickup and delivery. They broke more including sentimental items like my grandpas basketball trophy’s but I can’t list everythingLiteral crooks. I hope for karma.

General Movers LLC lost several key items and told me it was "impossible" that they would lose items. I find it fascinating that the items that were "lost" were items easily pawnable. Of course their "security" cameras at their storage sight found no evidence of theft. I filed a claim with them in May 2022, now it is October and the claim is still not resolved. I asked for arbitration, which is required by law, and they gave me this website movingclaims.com, which is a domain site currently for sale. On my own I found their actual claim site (and confirmed it with General Movers and confirmed their DOT number). I filed a claim there, but this "confirmed" site doesn't recognize their DOT number. They still cannot provide arbitration as required by law. Later on I asked their customer service person to speak to a manager... I was promised a phone call (I called too) ZERO RESPONSE. DO NOT USE this company. I have filed an official DOT/FMCSA complaint against this company. I'd recommend you do the same if you've had issues with this mover. I was told by the FMCSA that more complaints will accelerate a review. You can file the complaint here: https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/NCCDB/Home.aspx

First let me say I did a lot of research or so I thought. I had several quotes from movers and went with the middle man. General Movers did not come up in my first search. The first company was a nightmare. I paid extra in advance to pack one room. I packed everything else ahead of time. Boy am I glad for that. They weren't movers or packers. They were people this company found on "Craigslist" day laborers. The only person on thier payroll was the driver of the truck. General Movers are movers and packers. This is thier job. They packed up the garage and the left overs the other movers didn't have room for. They underestimated everything. General Movers right on the money. The garage was packed up beautifully. My husband was a happy man. General Movers are a legit company with actual employees that know how to pack a box and a truck. We had zero damage or missing boxes with General Movers. Everyone was pleasant, communicative and punctual. It took two trucks and two dates to move us. We were exhausted if I had only found General Movers first I would've had a much easier transition. Remember those who are the loudest aren't always the best. General Movers was hidden in a sea of others more prominent in the search but they were AWESOME!
